Pat Robidoux was hired as Southern Vermont's head men's and women's volleyball coach in June of 2017.
Robidoux came to Bennington with a familiarity of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) as he played at league foe Newbury College for three years while receiving his bachelor’s in Sports Management in Brookline, Mass.
The 2015 graduate remained in the greater Boston area following his Newbury commencement—making a pair of collegiate stops while staying involved with two club teams.
Before heading to Southern Vermont, Robidoux was hired as the first head coach of a newly-formed women’s team at Fisher College—helping get the young program on its feet with recruiting events and logistical organization. That came after he spent a season as an assistant coach for the women’s squad at Brandeis University. Meanwhile, over the last two years, he led the Boston Hurricanes and SMASH Volleyball—a pair of club organizations in Eastern Massachusetts.
Robidoux played for NC in 2011, 2013, and 2014—being the team’s captain in the latter of those three seasons. In ‘14, the senior setter amassed 484 assists, 129 digs, 43 kills, and 16 service aces. He also served as the president to Newbury’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2013-14. Robidoux earned his coaching certification from Gold Medal Squared’s Elite Coaches Clinic in June of 2015.
